on 16 may 2018, the second issue of "bauhaus now", the official magazine of the bauhaus association, was published. this time, the focus is on architecture and urban planning.

since autumn 2017, the magazine, which is published at regular intervals in two languages, has been exploring the question of where, in what form and under what conditions the bauhaus can still be felt today as an idea and role model.

the second issue of the magazine explores the question of the extent to which the ideas of modern architects still determine our understanding of what the built space is capable of achieving today. it traces the idea of the city from its capacity as a place of longing to its task as a space for negotiation of different interests to the urban planning vision of the future. the radiance that the long-gone bauhaus is still able to unfold in these areas serves as a starting point and contrast agent for those design questions that every generation has to answer anew.
