the modular system makes the golden ratio, the epitome of the harmonious structure, tangible. 16 building blocks with 7 different volumes, each have the proportions approx. 1:1.618 and together they form a cube. in this case, the long side of a rectangle is related to its broad side as the sum of the longitudinal and broad sides is to the long side. le corbusier's most important modern exploration of the golden ratio was achieved by developing a mathematical system of classification based on the golden ratio and human dimensions in le modulor 2, among other things, and implementing it in his buildings. the harmony continues in the colour composition of the building blocks. it is no coincidence that when arranging the stones, one has the feeling that le corbusier is meeting piet mondrian: golden ratio in space as a composition with red, yellow and blue.
