a beautiful contour: rounded stainless steel caps and glass cylinders show their origins from the seventies. ettore sottsass's cruet stand, part of a whole collection of tableware, is based on the simple assembly of a cylinder and a hemisphere. the oil and vinegar containers, also made of glass and stainless steel, have a plastic casting insert. stainless steel pins, repetition of the cylinder, protrude from a base plate – composed of rectangle and semicircle – and thus fix the vessels. the repetition of the semicircular shape can be found in the handle of the cruet, which accommodates the curve of the cap in the centre of the containers. the unity of the menage is based on the repetition of the basic forms and influenced countless vessel designs of the following period. available in 4 or 2 pieces, as well as salt or pepper individually.
